Özlem Vural offers professional, on-site Turkish language instruction to foreigners in the greater Istanbul area and online. Her private lessons and self-organized group courses are designed around clients' particular needs and are available at all proficiency levels. Courses are scheduled at student's convenience, face-to-face or by video conference. She accomodates requests for intensive lessons as her schedule allows.
Profile
Özlem has been a full-time Turkish instructor for business professionals, academics, diplomats, youth, and children and all types of expatriates in Istanbul since 2001. She taught at several of Istanbul's most respected private language schools and subsequently established an independent, sole proprietorship in 2012.
Özlem is a graduate of classics and classical languages from Istanbul University, where she obtained a teaching certificate, as well. She has also received certificates in “Dialogue, Communication and Verbal Presentation” from the Ministry of Education and “Phonetics and Diction” from the Press Museum. She later completed a "Master Class in Voice Acting" at Federal Film Academy.
In addition to Turkish, she speaks fluent English and a smattering of French.
Methodology
Özlem employs an dynamic, interactive, conversational style to put clients at ease to let them enjoy the learning experience. Her integrative methodology focuses on real-world communication and mastering progressively more complex pragmatic tasks with the Turkish language. Relevant vocabulary and grammar are introduced in this context.
Once clients have mastered some basics, she gradually tailors the lessons and course materials to their particular needs for the Turkish language, whether for business, economics, academia, research, or socializing.

Özlem has developed curricula and taught courses for a diverse corporate and institutional clientèle including Amazon, Shell, E.ON , Alstom, H&M, PepsiCo, Deutsche Bank, ING Emeklilik, Goodyear, Nestlé, L'Oréal, Groupe SEB-Tefal, Hasbro, UPS, Decathlon, Japan Tobacco International, Essilor, Mace Group, Air Liquide, Yum!
